Job Summary
This position is a working supervisor and is responsible to manage the daily
work flow through the largest Aircraft Maintenance Facility in western North
Dakota. The primary role for this position is to direct, lead, coach, and mentor
approximately 8 A&P Maintenance Technicians. The natural career progression
for this position may include the Director of Maintenance position at Bismarck
Aero Center.
Additional responsibilities include continuous process improvements, process
and procedure development, administering annual employee reviews, and enforcing
company policies and procedures.
Job Requirements
- 50% of the daily may include performing routine A&P responsibilities
as needed (job description available upon request).
- This position is responsible for coordinating maintenance activities to
include; scheduling, trouble-shooting, repairs, overhauling, modifications,
operational checks, routine servicing, and inspections.
- Responsible to improve work flow processes and procedures to increase shop
efficiency rates.
- Responsible to drive safety in the work place initiatives and lead safety
meetings.
- Acts as the lead Quality Control Supervisor for the Maintenance Department.
- Monitor staffing levels and work with HR in recognizing the training needs
of each employee and develop a plan to help improve their skills.
- Provide leadership, coaching, mentoring to A&P staff.
- Ensure specific equipment and special tools are made available to accomplish
the inspection, maintenance, and repair of aircraft related components.
- Ensure all work performed is in compliance with FAA Regulations.
- Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Company's Vision, Mission, and

- Provide scheduling and deadlines to the maintenance technician staff and
parts clerk.
- Monitors work load of each technician and ensures that the work assigned
is within their current knowledge base, skills, and abilities.
- Assist with all Director of Maintenance tasks (job description available
upon request).
- Accompanies flight crews to perform in-flight troubleshooting and adjustments
and perform preflight evaluations of airframe and powerplant issues.
- Ensure that components, parts, and materials, utilized in maintaining aircraft
contain release certification of equipment.
- Review or check the work products of others to ensure conformance to standards.
- Produce written documents in English with clearly organized thoughts using
proper sentence construction, punctuation, and grammar.
- Plans maintenance and directs members of his staff to assure they carry
out all maintenance activities safely on time and within the allocated budget.

Job Skills Requirements
- Associates degree in aircraft maintenance preferred.
- A&P license Required.
- Inspection Authorization Certification required.
- Candidates must have 5+ years of recent experience working as an A&P.
- Candidate must have 10+ years of leadership experience.
- Ability to read and understand wiring schematics and technical data.
- Detail Oriented.
- Proven Problem Solving Experience.
- Ability to appraise performance, reward, and discipline employees.
- Customer Service Background with solid communication skills and team
focus.
- Have strong prioritization, time management, organizational, problem
solving and analytical skills.
- MS Office Proficiency.
- Must be willing to work on call and occasional overtime.
- Move objects weighing 50 pounds.
- Remain in a standing position for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
- Work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the elements.
- Must have own tools.
- Must have valid driver's license
- Ability to write routine reports and
correspondence.
